Seth & Emily's Wedding | Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico

Seth and Emily both share a passion for snow skiing, and luckily for them, they live right down the mountain from Taos Ski Valley! (I may be a little bit jealous!)

My husband made the trip to Taos with me as well as our kiddos, so we could enjoy some fun just before Christmas! We did some shopping, enjoyed the local fare, and had a blast watching our children play at Twirl. If you’re ever in Taos and need somewhere for your kids to get their energy out, I highly suggest spending some time there! Thanks to Emily’s suggestion, our kids had the best time!

Emily told me early on that she wanted to incorporate her love for the ski valley views on her wedding day, and boy, did she!
Emily and Seth chose the Snakedance Condominium Hotel to host their family and friends, as well as themselves. Their views of the ski valley were amazing- you could almost reach out and touch the fresh powder.

For their first look, we drove further up the mountain and found a spot that boasted some serious views. The sun wasn’t too keen on being out during that time, so it was chilly! But that only made Seth and Emily cuddle up even more. It was so sweet to see Seth lay eyes on his bride. She was a sight to be seen, no question!

Their ceremony took place at their home church in town, but after the vows were said, their family and friends trekked back up the mountain for dinner and cocktails at the amazing Hotel St. Bernard.
It was one of the most romantic settings I’ve ever photographed. The lighting was dim, the fire was roaring, and the candles were aglow. I can’t imagine a more perfect end to this mountain event.

Seth and Emily are absolutely wonderful and they were such a delight to photograph. I was honored to serve them in the very best way I know how!
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Aaron and Jenny | Wedding | The Lodge at Breckenridge, Colorado

I LOVE when couples choose to travel to Colorado to celebrate their nuptials. For us locals, it’s easy to forget the beauty that surrounds us each and every day. Sometimes we take it for granted.

Aaron and Jenny are Kansas natives but their passion for the Rocky Mountains runs deep in both of them.
Aaron proposed to Jenny in the Loveland Ski Area and they both knew Colorado would also set the scene for their wedding day. They chose the Lodge at Breckenridge to be THE spot for their special day. The view is breathtaking and the sunshine is bright (so bring your sunglasses, k?).

They included about 40 of their family and friends to be part of their day and to witness their commitment to one another. It was truly beautiful. I had such a great time mingling with their loved ones and hearing stories about Aaron and Jenny’s journey together so far.

It was an honor to be a part of their wedding day. Congratulations, Aaron and Jenny!

Loren and Christy | Wedding | Breckenridge, Colorado

Loren and Christy’s wedding day in Breckenridge, Colorado is one of my most cherished events of the entire year. No kidding.

As soon as I pulled into the drive of their lodge, I was immediately welcomed with a warm smile by Loren. Although it was my first time meeting him, I instantly knew that this day was the best day of his life. His smile was infectious. He was so full of joy and love for his soon-to-be bride. It was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever witnessed.

Christy and Loren rented a gorgeous lodge and included their closest family members to join them on their special day- it was such fun to observe the dynamics of the group. There was so much laughter and love between each other- nothing but positivity and support for these two.
Their ceremony took place outside on the deck of the lodge, surrounded by the tallest pine trees. The first snow of the season was falling and it was like a fairytale.
Colorado is such an amazing place to have a wedding ceremony and I think Christy and Loren lucked out. Colorado was at her finest for the season.
Christy glowed the entire day- she was so beautiful and her gown was the icing on the cake! (speaking of cake, check out that cake display below!)

Congratulations to Loren and Christy!
